Our team works with you to discuss primary and secondary packaging design early in a project to ensure that packaging considerations are coordinated in advance of going to market and appropriate human factor studies are built into the product design from the beginning.
Lifecore utilizes a wide array of fully automated packaging equipment. These include plunger rod and backstop assembly, labeling, sealing, and final cartoning equipment. Secondary packaging takes place in a classified cleanroom. The final cartoning takes place in isolated packaging suites utilizing automated cartoning machines. Each line has the ability to print and camera-verify text using an array of technology from laser etching to printing and applying labels.
Packaging of clinical trial material (CTM) uses all the same equipment and packaging personnel as a commercial product. Procedures are documented using the same templates as commercial products. These methods serve to ensure efficient transition from development to commercial production.
