This individual will provide technical expertise and support to technical development, quality control, new business development, manufacturing, and any other department that may require technical support. They will carry out non-routine experiments under general supervision; begin to use discretion in the design and execution of experiments; perform critical analysis of data using detailed observations and independent interpretation of results; perform routine and non-routine sample analysis; present data at group meetings; communicate results through appropriate documentation and batch records; write development reports as required; identify and analyze new products or projects, as appropriate.
BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related science with 2-5 years of appropriate industrial experience. Biotechnology related method development experience. FDA regulated industry experience and experience with biopolymers preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following: HPLC, MALLS, Viscosity, TOC, GC, Elisa, qPCR, or electrophoresis. Excellent hands on lab skills and techniques.
