Director of Quality

Job Description:

This individual will build, maintain, and provide leadership to the Quality organization to ensure the highest possible quality for Lifecore products, efficient and effective systems, and compliance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable requirements.  They will provide strategic leadership for the Quality organization personnel and functions by developing and communicating Quality goals and strategies; create/improve quality systems and define strategy to create a best in class quality system for contract development and manufacturing organization of both medical devices and pharmaceutical products; create and organization that is seen as a decisive, accountable, timely business partner to achieve business results and compliance with applicable standards and Lifecore policies; manage trending programs to identify trends, resolve recurring quality problems, and improve quality; facilitate the personal and professional growth and training of subordinates to meet future company needs and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

BA/BS required (Engineering, Sciences, Chemistry or Quality preferred) with 10+ years in the medical device or pharma industry and a minimum of 5 years in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.  5+ years of supervisory or management experience in industry.  Knowledge of all applicable regulations and standards for pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain an efficient, effective organization with focus on business needs and continuous improvement.  Project management experience preferred.
