Restorative Training for the Entire Team (8 hours)
Successful implant dentistry is the result of a team effort: the surgeon, restorative dentist, with his team and laboratory technician achieve the best results when they have studied, trained, and practiced together. This creates a comprehensive, connected, and cohesive team that delivers patient centric results.
This unique, separate, but parallel training (two programs, running concurrently) provides an opportunity to implement the team approach to implant dentistry. It is this educational approach that, over the years, has resulted in 98% of attendees rating Lifecore Dental education programs as “excellent”. 96% claimed the level of information discussed, was “just right”.

Advanced Restorative Doctor Training Format (8 hours)
As more dental patients become aware of their treatment options, the demand for dental implants will continue to increase. That’s why now, more than ever, highly proficient implant restorative doctors are in demand. In order to meet this demand, the ProEsthetic Know HOW Program was developed. This course provides clinicians with an opportunity to develop their technical skills and take a proactive lead in serving their patients and building their practices.
The objective of this program is to provide restorative doctors with the hands-on training and complex treatment planning necessary for tooth replacement therapy. Upon course completion, clinicians will have an enhanced level of technical proficiency to allow them to confidently and consistently provide safe and clinically based outcomes for their patients.
Course content includes:
- Treatment Planning Concepts and Considerations for Fully and Partially Edentulous Patients
- Hands-on Workshop for Fully and Partially Edentulous Cases:
- Impressioning
- Common Prosthetic Components
- Delivery of Final Crown and Bridge Restoration (Cement and Screw Retained)
- Delivery of Final Bar Overdenture
This course is designed for restorative doctors who wish to further develop their technical and treatment planning skills. It is suggested that participants have experience restoring 10-20 implants and completed the Lifecore Prosthetic Know HOW Program, although it is not mandatory.
Implant Supported Overdentures: The Confidence of Stability, Simplified. (3 Hours)
The Lifecore Skills Series Overdenture Program is an ideal entry point into Tooth Replacement Therapy using dental implants. The objective is to use proven concepts and procedures to maximize restorative doctor comprehension.
The program also outlines how this beneficial and reliable procedure can be incorporated into the dental practice. Restorative doctors who provide overdenture treatment will notice a significant increase in patient satisfaction.
A Patient Education Model with implants is used for the hands-on review of the protocol for a two implant-supported bar attachment-retained overdenture and a two implant-supported attachment-retained overdenture.
Course content includes:
- Impression Techniques (Hands-on)
- Wax Try-Ins
- Delivery of the Final Overdenture
- Retrofitting an Existing Denture (Hands-on)
- Finding Overdenture Patients in Your Practice

Implant dentistry's life changing effects are rapidly gaining recognition.
In addition to word of mouth from satisfied patients, there are currently hundreds of web sites on dental implants available to the general public.
This awareness continues to grow, especially with the aging and affluent “baby boom” population. Soon, restorative doctors will be obligated to provide their patients with all appropriate treatment options, not just what's customary for their individual practice.
The number of course participants is limited.
Increasing Case Acceptance for All Dental Professionals (3 Hours)
The key to increasing patient acceptance is to understand how to effectively present the information that patients need in order to embrace the benefits of the proposed treatment. If patients understand the full scope of the problem, they can’t get to the solution fast enough.
Dental schools teach how to examine, diagnose, and treatment plan, so naturally the focus of most consultations is the patient’s treatment plan.
Unfortunately, what motivates patients to proceed with implant treatment is a full understanding of the consequences of missing teeth and the benefits of implants. The key is to understand what to say and how to say it. The Lifecore Skills Series Increasing Case Acceptance Program is based on proven patient education methods and treatment presentation approaches that lead to higher case acceptance. By attending this program, you and your entire team will gain the insight and training necessary to provide patient focused, results-oriented consultations.
Topics:
- Staff Role in Patient Education
- Identifying the Implant Candidate
- Patient Psychology
- Understanding Patient Mindset
- Three Phases of Patient Education
- Patient Profiles – Identifying Primary Concern n The Ideal Consultation Script
- Overcoming the Cost Obstacle
This outcome-based course is comprised of lecture and a question and answer session. Course methodology includes step-by-step problem/solution models, case photography, and specific verbal skills training that is valuable for surgical and restorative practices.
